MERRIFIELD — A 68-year-old Brainerd man was injured Wednesday, Nov. 18, after his vehicle crashed into a sign and trees near Merrifield.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Officer was called at 9:57 p.m. to the single vehicle crash. It was reported the man was traveling south on Crow Wing County Highway 3, when the vehicle struck a sign and then some trees at the intersection of county highways 3 and 4.
The man was transported by North Memorial Health Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd for injuries.
The sheriff’s office reported the man was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
