Vehicle crashes on Highway 169

PRINCETON — A 64-year-old Brainerd man was among three people injured Monday, Oct. 19,when the vehicle they were in rolled over in Mille Lacs County.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the Brainerd man, James H. Cowell, was driving a Chevy Blazer south on Highway 169, just north of Princeton when he lost control of the vehicle and it rolled over. The Chevy came to rest in the west ditch.

The state patrol reported the roads at the time of the crash at 7:41 p.m. were covered with snow and ice. Cowell and his two passengers, Hailey J. Norman, 17, North Branch, and Karen M. Peterson, 64, Mora, were all wearing seat belts and transported to M. Health Fairview Northland Medical Clinic in Princeton for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Princeton Fire Department, North Memorial Health Ambulance and Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
