A Brainerd woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the intersection of Greenwood Street and Business Highway 371, just south of Brainerd.
The Brainerd Police Department responded at 4:53 p.m. to the crash. Sandra Kay Johnson, 60, Brainerd, was stopped in the southbound lane along Business Highway 371, getting ready to turn left onto Greenwood Street. It was reported the second vehicle, driven by Emily Carlson, 23, Randall, was traveling south on Business Highway 371, behind Johnson’s vehicle, when Carlson’s vehicle struck the rear of Johnson’s vehicle. Police reported both vehicles spun into the ditch on the east side of the highway.
Johnson had unknown injuries and was transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. Carlson was not injured.
The Brainerd Fire Department assisted the police department at the scene.
