A developmentally disabled man who nearly drowned June 24 remains in critical condition at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
The man, who the Cass County Sheriff's office identified as Robert Lenzmeier, 53, was one of the residents from the Oakwood Terrace group home in Staples who were on an excursion to a beach on Pillager Lake near Cass County Road 1, north of Pillager.
Lenzmeier had stuck his head underwater as a part of a game. Group home staff soon realized he wasn't breathing and then performed rescue breathing and CPR.
