The Brainerd Lakers United for the Environment will have a vigil and film presentation Tuesday, Sept. 24, in solidarity with the Global Climate Strike Sept. 20-27.
The Global Climate Strike is an international event demanding climate justice for everyone and a swift and just transition from fossil fuels to 100% renewable energy.
The vigil will be 5 p.m. at the intersection of Sixth and Washington streets, Brainerd, near the Sawmill Inn.
Vigil participants will meet at the vigil site. Signs and flags are available for vigil participants or participants may bring signs to the vigil. The vigil is scheduled to last nearly an hour.
Following the vigil, there will be a film presentation at 6 p.m. in the Brainerd United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, 415 Juniper St., Brainerd, near Gregory Park.

In the event bad weather forces cancellation of the vigil, the film presentation in the Brainerd UCC Fellowship Hall will begin at 5 p.m.
The BLUE vigil and film presentation are free events open to the public.
