ST. PAUL - A former Visitation and Highland Park high school coach, accused of having sex with a girl when she was 15, pleaded guilty Wednesday to third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Daniel Erik Hubbard Wilson, 27, of St. Paul, will serve one year in the Ramsey County Jail, under terms of a plea agreement reached in Ramsey County District Court, the county attorney’s office said.
He will also plead guilty in Hennepin County to violating one of three no-contact order violations filed against him. He agreed to stay away from the victim, her home, her high school and the University of Minnesota, where the girl often competes.
Wilson will be placed on 15 years’ probation when he is sentenced April 16. If he violates terms of his probation, he faces six years in prison.
Wilson met the girl at Visitation School in Mendota Heights when he was a coach. According to criminal charges, he had sex with the girl beginning in September 2013.
