Hundreds of families have applied for gifts for boys and girls through age 15 and it's not too late to get in on helping with 34th annual Southern Crow Wing County Toys For Kids Program as an "all-call" for volunteers.
Anyone wanting to volunteer to bag toys should go to the Brainerd National Guard Armory from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Dec. 7-16, except for weekends. Volunteer baggers are needed as well from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 17.
Toy and monetary gifts are still needed and are being taken through Dec. 17, the day of distribution. Look for one of the many drop boxes for toys or coins in the Southern Crow Wing County area. Monetary gifts can also be mailed any time to Toys For Kids, P.O. Box 2811 Brainerd, MN 56401. All monetary gifts are spent locally for gifts for the program.
