Brainerd Public Schools officials want people to choose the name for the new early childhood center by voting online and selecting among the three finalists.

The finalists are:

  • Lakeview Early Childhood Center,

  • Brainerd Lakes Area Early Childhood Center,

  • Warrior Early Learning Center.

More than 60 students, parents, staff, vacationers and alumni submitted possible names last month for the building that houses Baxter Elementary School and will serve children ages birth to 5 years old and their families after it is remodeled next fall.
Votes must be cast by Friday, March 20, by visiting www.blueprint181.org . Voting results will be shared with the Brainerd Public Schools Board of Education at its March 23 meeting at the Washington Educational Services Building, 804 Oak St. in Brainerd.

Board members are expected to approve a name for the building at the meeting.
