WADENA - The Wadena Police Department received numerous calls of vandalism Tuesday night through Wednesday morning where vehicle tires and windows were targeted in Southwest Wadena.
At one point a resident saw individuals outside their home and called the police department. An officer was only a couple blocks away at the time of that call, but in the darkness the suspects were able to elude the officer, police said.
"It's disheartening that people will go to such lengths to vandalize others' property," Wadena Police Chief Naomi Plautz said. "If you or anyone you know may have some information related to these incidents ... please call, you can stay anonymous if you wish. We rely on our great community to help each other in time of need, so please share information with us if you have any related details to these vandalism reports."
