Mike is 10 years old and goes to Forestview Middle School. He likes to ride bike and play video games, but Mike is really an explorer at heart. He loves to go on hikes and explore new places, finding hidden coves and obscure paths.
Mike does very well in reading, math and social studies, but more than anything he enjoys drawing. That's his secret talent.
This summer he went camping with his family, something they dreamed of doing for two years. Fishing, bowling, sledding-these are things he would like to do with a mentor. What else would Mike like to do? He'd like to spend a day at the YMCA and experience a museum.
And who would Mike like to spend time with? "A family with kids that is nice."
With offices in Brainerd, Pequot Lakes, Crosby and Staples, Kinship Partners serves area families by providing positive role models to youth from the ages of 5 to 14. Mentors can be individuals, couples or families.
