Here we are again; it's time for New Year's Resolutions. What is it that you are working to change this year? Eat less, exercise more or stop smoking? Get a better job, manage debt or take a trip?
Each year seems to keep passing quicker and quicker, and we keep putting off doing the things that really matter. There are bucket lists, wish lists and at the beginning of every year, resolutions. Will any of these things really bring us happiness? Will they make us feel that we have been true to ourselves and lived a good life.
It really is amazing how many things we want to do or change about ourselves, when in fact maybe what we need to do is focus on someone else. Is "volunteer to help others" on your list? It truly is in giving that we receive.

This year consider mentoring a boy or girl. The other things on your list will appear shallow in
comparison to the richness a friendship with a child will bring to your life.
