Marty Duncan, Crosslake, was reappointed to the board of directors at Minnesota State Academies, Faribault.
Duncan’s term began Feb. 4 and will end Jan. 3, 2022. Gov. Tim Walz announced the appointment in a news release. Duncan was recognized for his 50 years of service to children in December. Duncan is a member of American Legion in St. Peter and the Crosslake-Ideal Lions Club.
The Board of the Minnesota State Academies governs the state academies for the deaf and blind. The board promotes academic standards based on high expectations and an assessment system to measure academic performance toward the achievement of those standards.
