Snowplows will hit the county's roads and highways at 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, the Crow Wing County Highway Department reported.

"Please drive with caution and give the plows room to work," the county stated in a news release.

Snow was forecast through about 4 a.m., with a chance of snow and freezing rain before 10 a.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. The chance of freezing rain was expected to continue from 10-11 a.m. The weather service expected 1-2 inches of snow accumulation as a result.

The next time snow appears in the forecast is Saturday, when a 20 percent chance could bring snow showers and blustery winds.
