ROCHESTER - A three-vehicle crash has killed one person Wednesday night on a wet U.S. Highway 63.

According to the State Patrol, a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Daniel L. Atkinson, 65, of Plainview, Minn., was heading south when it collided with a 2014 Ford Edge that was going north.

A third vehicle, a 2012 Ford Super Duty pickup driven by Ronald L. Cuka, 46, of New London, Minn., was also southbound and struck the Ford Edge after the first collision.

The driver of the Ford Edge was killed in the accident. The State Patrol will release the name of the deceased Thursday afternoon.

Cuka and Atkinson were not injured, according to the State Patrol.

The accident was reported at 5:41 p.m. Wednesday. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash.
