The Brainerd Dispatch business office will close at 3 p.m. today and be closed Friday, New Year's Day. There will be a newspaper published on Friday and the weekend edition will come out Saturday morning.
Mail will not be delivered on Friday.
Some banks and financial institutions may be closed Friday.
Many convenience stores, grocery stores and retail stores will be open during regular business hours New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Government offices, including Brainerd and Baxter offices, as well as Crow Wing County and Cass County offices, will be closed Friday.
