The board of the Whitefish Chain Yacht Club has announced a full calendar of events for 2021.
Youth boating safety classes in conjunction with the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Water Patrol for youths ages 12-17, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 23 and July 21, Zorbaz in Crosslake;
Youths swimming classes, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., July 5-9, July 12-16 and July 19-23, Army Corp of Engineers Campground in Crosslake;
Women at the Helm for women who would like to get more comfortable at the helm of their boats with Jonny Wallin as instructor, 5:30 p.m. June 18 and July 16, Bertha Boatworks.
In addition to these classes, the yacht club is a sponsor of the Antique and Classic Wood Boat Rendezvous at Moonlite Bay from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 19.
The cardboard boat races, where teams try to paddle their homemade cardboard boats around the buoys in Moonlite Bay, will be Aug. 14
