CROSBY-Wild and Free Rescue and Rehabilitation volunteers Bob and Char Wrobel will discuss the challenges of rescuing injured and orphaned animals from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Oct. 10 at the next Lakes Area Unlimited Learning event at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby.
Volunteers donate their time to rehabilitate 500 animals per year with hopes of returning them to their wild habitat. The animals range from small birds to hawks, owls, fox, coyote and bears. Their facility is the only one licensed in Minnesota that can treat bears.
