WILLMAR - A Willmar man died Wednesday at Rice Memorial Hospital as a result of injuries from a car crash last week in Spicer.
John Bosch, 88, was southbound Aug. 13 on Minnesota Highway 23 north of Manitoba Street when his vehicle drifted into a left-turn lane and rear-ended another car, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
Bosch was on his way back from seeing his wife, who had died just five hours before in St. Cloud, said Tina Erickson, a family friend. Bosch fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of his vehicle.
The accident left him with broken ribs and a punctured lung, Erickson said.
