The Carlton County Sheriff's office is seeking assistance from the public to identify a vehicle and the vehicle's owner relating to a sexual and physical assault.
On Feb. 3 between 10:05 p.m. and 11:05 p.m., a female victim was traveling northbound on Interstate 35 near Esko when she stopped to assist a motorist that was pulled over on the shoulder of the northbound lane.
While assisting the unknown male, the male proceeded to both physically and sexually assault the female victim.
The suspect is described as a white male, late 20s to early 30s, medium build, with a shorter beard and short brown hair. He was wearing a black Carhartt hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black work boots.
The vehicle was described as an approximately 2003 Ford F-150 extended cab with black "matte" paint and larger black "matte" color wheels along with low profile tires.
