CROSBY-A 42-year-old Crosby woman faces multiple felonies and gross misdemeanors following the alleged assault of three people and two police officers.

According to the criminal complaint, a Crosby officer responded to a domestic disturbance call at 10:52 p.m. March 21 at a residence in Crosby. One of three alleged assault victims told police Eliza Brandy-Jane Booth was inside, fighting with two others.

The officer entered the home and found Booth swearing and screaming loudly while banging on a door, the complaint stated. The defendant was reportedly hostile with the officer immediately, refusing to comply with a request to sit down and calling the officer an "(expletive) pig." Booth allegedly went on to challenge the officer to use a stun gun on her.

The officer reported Booth put her hands up and clenched her fists, and as he attempted to secure her she tried to kick him in the groin and punched him twice-once in the mouth and once above the left eye. The officer was able to force Booth onto her stomach and handcuff her "with difficulty," the complaint stated.

A second officer arrived on scene to assist and Booth was placed on her feet. She allegedly proceeded to spit into the second officer's face.

The first victim said she punched him in the head, the second said she was punched in the chest and face, and the third said he was also punched in the head. According to one of the victims, Booth threatened to burn down the house and picked up a firearm, but did not threaten anyone with it.

Booth faces three felony counts of domestic assault, one felony count of fourth-degree assault for transferring bodily fluids onto a peace officer, a gross misdemeanor count of fourth-degree assault of a peace officer and a gross misdemeanor for obstructing the legal process.

According to court records, Booth has a prior felony domestic assault conviction from 2015 and a prior fourth-degree assault on a peace officer conviction from 2011.
