Emergency responders were called to a fire about 6:15 p.m., Friday, Sept. 6, on the 11000 block of Executive Acres Road, north of Brainerd.
The small carpet fire, contained to a single room of the residence, was quickly put out with a fire extinguisher upon arrival of Brainerd firefighters, a Crow Wing County Sheriff’s deputy said at the scene. Firefighters were in the process of cleaning out the damaged interior of the room before the majority of responders reached the premises. The cause of the fire was unknown later Friday.
A woman suffered burns on her arm and according to the police scanner, the Brainerd Fire Department requested a North Memorial ambulance to respond to a burn injury.
