A 30-year-old Verndale woman is accused of assaulting a man she was court ordered to have no contact with during a fight at a Brainerd apartment.
Jamie Marie Kreiner was charged Jan. 24 with felony domestic assault in Crow Wing County District Court in Brainerd. Kreiner has a history of domestic violence offenses, court records show. She has two domestic violence related offenses from 2017 — a misdemeanor and a gross misdemeanor.
According to the statement of probable cause charging Kreiner, Brainerd police were dispatched to a Brainerd apartment building when a person in a neighboring apartment indicated they could hear a male and female physically fighting.
Officers made contact with a man who had obvious fresh redness and scratches around his throat and neck area. They also talked with Kreiner, who had no obvious visible injuries. Kreiner told police she and the victim had an argument.
The victim told police Kreiner hit, scratched and kicked him following a verbal argument. Kreiner’s next court appearance is scheduled at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11.
