With Friday being the 19th anniversary of the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, the sun bursts near the American flag that flies at the Brainerd Fire Department Thursday, Sept. 10.

The Brainerd Fire Department will commemorate the loss of firefighters on that day with a stair climb at 5 p.m. Friday in the lower grass soccer field south of the Brainerd High School.
