WreathsForTheFallen.org will honor the nation's fallen veterans at the Little Falls, Preston and Duluth cemeteries this December.

For a number of years WreathsForTheFallen.org has endeavored to honor fallen veterans at the cemeteries by placing a wreath on each veteran's grave in December. The addition of Preston and Duluth requires several hundred additional wreaths to honor veterans and their families at the Minnesota state veterans cemeteries once again this year.

This year the date for the National Remembrance Ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Dec. 14 at at the Minnesota state veterans cemeteries in Little Falls, Preston and Duluth. It is suggested everyone plan to arrive by 10 a.m. Plans are to have hot coffee, hot cider and other refreshments for all attending the Little Falls event. The ceremony starts at 11 a.m. sharp and wreath placement begins at about 11:20 a.m.

After the ceremony, consisting of representatives from each branch of the military, several thousand honor wreaths will be placed on the many markers. Volunteers from Camp Ripley, the Minnesota Patriot Guard, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legions, and other civic organizations along with hundreds of families from a wide area will place the honor wreaths on the gravesites. Due to the limited parking at the cemetery, the organization recommends carpooling if possible.
