Registration is now open to community members and YMCA members may now register for several programs.
The Fall II session of swim lessons will run Nov. 6-Dec. 16. There are lessons for all ages and levels.
Boys and girls in grades K-3 may register for the youth basketball league, which is Saturday mornings at the YMCA. Teams are coed and coached by volunteers. The league runs Nov. 11-Dec. 16. Early bird registration ends Nov. 6.
The adult men's basketball league begins Dec. 4. There is room for 12 teams. Games are played on Monday or Tuesday evenings depending on number of teams in the league. All players must be 18 and not be part of a high school team. Games are officiated by YMCA staff.
The home-school program will run November through March. Students will participate in lessons that focus on physical fitness, skill development and sportsmanship. The program is on two Fridays during each month from 1-2 p.m. and is open to all home-school families with children ages 5 and older.
The YMCA's New Discoveries Child Care Center has immediate openings for preschoolers in its enrichment program. New students will receive one session of free swim lessons. The YMCA child care is a participant with the Scholastic Big Day for pre-K curriculum.
