The deadline to register for youth softball from Brainerd Parks and Recreation is Friday.
There's still openings for the following age groups in the competitive youth slow-pitch softball leagues:
• Petites, 8-10 year olds.
• Juniors, 11-13 year olds.
• Seniors, 14-17 year olds.

Cost is $55 per player. There is a $10 late fee, starting May 2.
Registrations are accepted in the Lum Park office 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or use the mail-in registration form in the summer program guide which can be found at www.ci.brainerd.mn.us/parks under "Quick Links." For more information, call 218-828-2320.
