Crow Wing County Volunteer Coordinators Association recently announced Taryn Monson as Youth Volunteer for the Month.

Family: Parents and eight siblings

Volunteer activities: Essentia Health every Friday.

I volunteer because: "I began volunteering when I applied for the National Honors Society, but after a year it has become so much more than that for me."

My most rewarding experience is or has been: "My favorite thing about volunteering is, not only do I get to spend time with my best friend, but I get to put a smile on people's faces.
