The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls Friday, but all were canceled en route.
The calls:
- A tree with smoke at 9:22 a.m. Friday in the Ben Franklin parking lot. Brainerd Fire was canceled and the DNR was notified.
- An alarm at a home at East Gull Lake at 11:53 a.m. Friday, which was a false alarm.
- An alarm at 9:07 p.m. Friday at Wausau Paper Mill, which was a false alarm.

- An alarm at 11:15 p.m. Friday at the YMCA, which was a false alarm.
