Crow Wing County officials reported two more deaths in residents linked to COVID-19 Monday, Jan. 11.

Two women in their 80s succumbed to the virus, one Dec. 29 and one Jan. 6, bringing Crow Wing County deaths from COVID-19 up to 71. The county’s positive case count increased by 62 from Friday to Monday to 4,709 cases.

Cass and Wadena counties each recorded another death over the weekend. The Minnesota Department of Health reported the deaths Sunday, Jan. 10 — a person 85-59 in Cass County and a person 80-84 in Wadena County.

  • Aitkin — 1,056, with 33 deaths.

  • Cass — 2,014, with 22 deaths.

  • Crow Wing — 4,709, with 71 deaths.

  • Mille Lacs — 2,108, with 45 deaths.

  • Morrison — 3,063, with 43 deaths.

  • Todd — 2,292, with 29 deaths.

  • Wadena — 1,176, with 13 deaths.
