The number of new cases in Crow Wing and Morrison counties has continued to outpace those reported in neighboring counties during the month of September.
With about half of the population of Crow Wing County, Morrison County has seen almost as many new cases confirmed this month as its more heavily populated neighbor — 60 more residents have been infected with COVID-19, compared to 70 in Crow Wing County. This means the per capita increase in Morrison County is significantly higher — 18 more cases per 10,000 people, compared to an increase of 10.75 per 10,000 in Crow Wing.
Both counties reported 17 new cases between Saturday and Tuesday. Mille Lacs and Cass counties each reported six new cases, while Aitkin reported three and Wadena reported two.

Aitkin — 66 (+3 since Friday, Sept. 11), with one death.
Cass — 118 (+6), with three deaths.
Crow Wing — 379 (+17), with 18 deaths.
Mille Lacs — 131 (+6), with three deaths.
Morrison — 177 (+17), with one death.
Todd — 470 (+7), with two deaths.
Wadena — 59 (+2).
NOTE: These numbers are cumulative since March 21 and many are out of isolation. The number of those no longer needing isolation is not reported on a county-level basis by the state.
