WADENA — Tri-County Health Care had to suspend in April the planning and construction of a 123,000-square-foot health care facility due to the spread of COVID-19 and refocused its attention last year on combating the spread of the coronavirus.
The hospital building project will resume with a 2 p.m. May 4 groundbreaking, but due to the continued prevalence of COVID-19 the event will only be open to a select few individuals. The proceedings, however, will be livestreamed at www.TCHC.org.
The $72 million facility just outside of Wadena will blend cutting-edge technology with “peace and tranquility,” according to officials, with a tentative grand opening planned for 2023.
