A Mille Lacs County resident is among those who’ve died from COVID-19.
The Minnesota Department of Health informed county officials of the death Saturday, April 18. Mille Lacs County reported its first and only laboratory-confirmed case last week in a resident in their 60s. A representative with Mille Lacs County Community and Veteran Services said the state provided no additional information beyond confirming the death.
As of Monday, MDH reported 143 people have died due to COVID-19 in the state. Nearly 50 of those deaths have been reported since Friday.
