WALKER—Kid Rock is hitting northern Minnesota this summer and will be a headliner for Moondance Jam 27 in Walker.

Fresh off his "Greatest Show On Earth Tour" supporting his new "Sweet Southern Sugar" album, Kid Rock will bring his high-energy live show to cap off the Friday night of the three day rock festival which runs July 19-21. Tickets and camping for Moondance Jam 27 are on sale now by calling the ticket office at 218-836-1055 with discount tickets on sale until Friday.

Kid Rock burst onto the music scene in 1998 with his "Devil Without a Cause" album and hasn't looked back. From hit singles like "Bawitdaba" and "Cowboy" to "Picture" and "All Summer Long," the recording artist has blazed his own trail in the music world, having sold more than 26 million albums to date and continuing tour, a news release stated. Kid Rock holds the Michigan record for most tickets sold with 150,000 for a run of 10 consecutive sold-out shows, and recently set the Little Caesars Arena attendance record in his hometown of Detroit with 86,893 attendees in six sold-out shows. On the heels of his arena success, Kid Rock recently announced his "Greatest Show On Earth Tour 2018" in tandem with his new album

"Sweet Southern Sugar." The tour kicks off Jan. 19 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., and will continue with 21 shows from coast to coast. "Sweet Southern Sugar" is Kid Rock's first album recorded in Nashville and features recent singles "Tennessee Mountain Top," "Po-Dunk," and the tour namesake, "Greatest Show On Earth." Kid Rock remains at the center of media attention in regards to his musical and personal ambitions, leaving his mark in a multitude of genres, the news release stated.

Moondance Jam began as classic rock festival with open festival seating for all general admission ticket holders and continues that tradition today over two decades later. All ticket holders at Moondance have equal opportunity to get up to the front of the stage or sit back on the lawn seating area. Concert goers who wish to reserve a spot on the lawn by bringing in a lawn chair need to purchase a chair tag. Lawn chair seating spots are given on a daily first-come-first-served basis. Accessible seating is available in the concert area with gate personnel and security available for on-hand assistance.
