RiverWood bank impacts hunger locally
RiverWood Bank customers and employees donated nearly 3,000 pounds of food to local food shelves in nine northern and central Minnesota communities.
The Salvation Army Food Shelf in Brainerd received 169 pounds of food and household goods, and the Crosslake Food Shelf received 68 pounds.
"Our local food shelves were grateful for the donations to help jump-start FoodShare Month in March," said Bart Taylor, regional president at RiverWood Bank. "Thank you to all who joined with us to make a difference in our community."
To recognize the effort RiverWood Bank employee-owners made during the food drive, RiverWood Bank is donating an additional $100 to the Salvation Army Food Shelf in Brainerd and Crosslake Food Shelf in April.
