U-Haul and van collide, sending 2 to Crosby hospital
GARRISON—Two people in a Dodge Caravan were injured Thursday, May 16, when the van collided with a U-Haul truck pulling a trailer on Highway 18 in Garrison Township.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported Alexander D. Gustafson, 25, Cambridge, was driving a 2017 Ford U-Haul towing a 2008 American Trailer, and Carol A. Sam, 69, Onamia, was driving the van. Both vehicles were travelling west on Highway 18. When the van slowed to turn, it was struck by the U-Haul and trailer, the state patrol reported.
Gustafson was not injured. Sam and her 29-year-old passenger, Desiree L. Taylor of Waubun, were transported to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office assisted with the crash, which was reported at 10:04 p.m.
