Allen Martin Braak, 88, of Apache Junction, AZ and formerly of Baxter, MN passed away in Arizona on January 9, 2023. A Funeral Service for Allen will be held on Saturday February 11, 2023, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter, MN. There will be a visitation held on Friday February 10, 2023, from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, and one hour prior to the start of the service at the church. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd.

Anna (Faber) Olson, 88, of Willmar, formerly of Brainerd, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Bethesda Grand Nursing Home in Willmar. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, at United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. Burial will be in Tromso Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Lake Lillian Public Library. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar, www.hafh.org.
MaryLou passed away on January 19th, 2023, at the age of 78, surrounded by her loving husband and two sons. She is survived by her husband Darryl Skallet of 29 years; sons, Shane (Denise) Zupko, Craig (Kerry) Zupko; twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Dennis Ronald Smolik, 76, of Brainerd, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, January 23, 2023.
Mark Frederick Olding, 64, of Brainerd, passed away on January 15th, 2023 at home after a short battle with cancer with his loving family by his side. A celebration of life will be held at a later date when the weather is warmer.
Cindy Jo Pejka, 69; formerly of Lake Shore, MN; died on January 10, 2023, in Fort Wort, TX after a battle with Parkinson’s disease with Lewy Body Dementia.
Lois Ann LaPage Anderson, 89, of Brainerd, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2023. She was born on December 6, 1933, in Chicago, IL to Archie and Alice LaPage where she graduated high school and married. She and her husband moved to New Hope and later to Brainerd in 1971 where they finished raising their five sons. Lois worked for 16 years at Acrometal and A-Tek, retiring in 2001. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey, their son Larry, her brothers, Jack, Joe and Ed, her sister Jean, and her parents. Lois is survived by four sons, Jim (Sandy) and Doug (Janet) of Pillager, Ken of Brainerd, and Kevin (Sue) of Nisswa; brothers, Bob and Dave; sisters Linda, Laura, Cathy, and Carmel; along with 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Vernon O. Orth, 85, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2022, at his home in Fort Myers, FL. He was born on September 14, 1937, to Ora & Maurine Orth at their home in Delavan, MN. He was the second oldest of 8 boys.
Tim Fiebiger, 52, of Pequot Lakes died unexpectedly in his sleep on the morning of January 19, 2023. Tim was born on October 7, 1970, to Adolph and Betty Fiebiger in Mayville, ND. He attended high school to the 10th grade but was passionate about education and later in life pursued a B.S in Organizational Behavior from St. Scholastica graduating with a 4.0.

Patrick Holder 70, of Aitkin, passed away on Sunday, January 15th, 2023 at the Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice Center near his home in Orange Beach, Alabama after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 23, 1952 to Everett and Wilma (Carr) Holder. Pat grew up on a farm south of Aitkin and learned at an early age a work ethic he maintained throughout his life. He attended Aitkin Public Schools where he was active in sports and other school activities. After graduating in 1970, he attended St. Cloud State College and the University of Minnesota School of Pharmacy. Pat then returned to Aitkin to work alongside Milt Knutson, owner of Snyder Drug. A year later he purchased the business when the Knutsons retired to Arizona. Eventually Snyder Drug and Village Drug merged creating a wonderful relationship with fellow pharmacists Bob Monroe and Jack Fossen. In the 1990s Pat established Aitkin Medical Supply, which operated out of the drug store building until his retirement. Pat always felt fortunate to have the wonderful and dedicated staff he worked with at both Holder Drug and Aitkin Medical Supply. Pat was patient, kind, optimistic and always seemed to find the best in everyone. He enjoyed sports, traveling, both deer and pheasant hunting but most of all golf. He was fortunate to enjoy countless rounds with many special friends.

Jim Williams, 79, of the Brainerd Lakes area passed away December 27th. Jim proudly served in the Armed Forces, Army Corp of Engineers in Vietnam (1966-1968). After an honorable discharge Jim returned to his career at General Motors in Detroit where he became a skilled tradesman and member of the UAW. After 30 years on the job he retired from GM and relocated with his family to the Brainerd area where he drove a school bus for 15 years.
Jerry “Woody” Dwain Wood, age 83, of Emily, passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2023 after a long illness.

Roger ascended to the Kingdom of Glory on January 17, 2023, four years after suffering a severe stroke, which left him mostly paralyzed on the left side.
Our beloved Carole Jean McElhaney passed away on January 9, 2023 in Sparta, NC after a brief battle with cancer.
