Ronald Lee Hart
Ronald Lee Hart, 71, of Baxter, passed away at home April 24, 2019 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 29, 1947, in Minneapolis, to Lennon and Lois (Dukeman) Hart. He moved with his family to Brainerd where he graduated from high school and later earned a degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. He served in the Army Reserves for thirteen years.
Ron married Arlene (Sletten) on October 20, 1973 in Pequot Lakes. They had two children, Ryan and Michael. He taught them the importance of love, respect, and hard work.
Ron enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, and traveling with his family and friends. He was a car enthusiast who enjoyed showing off his 1969 Corvette at many car shows throughout the area.
Ron was a person of deep faith and a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He served his faith community in a variety of ways including being a member of the church's Vision Council.
Ron is survived by his wife, Arlene; sons, Ryan (Angie) of Baxter, Michael (Alan) of Moorpark, CA; grandchildren, Kaytlin and Kiley; brother Duane (Jacie) of Wasilla, AK. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 2:00pm Sunday, April 28, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Hans Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home and will continue Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements with Nelson-Doran Funeral Home.
