Elaine Doucette

Elaine Theresa (Perlinger) Doucette, Born Feb 11, 1943 & went home to be with the Lord on May 16th 2019, many knew her as Momma D or Grandma D... she was raised on a farm outside of Brainerd MN, She came to Winslow AZ and married Lynus Doucette in 1962.

They moved around the southwest doing construction work until 1967 where they settled down in Winslow. They raised 5 sons, their pride and Joy, Kelly (Kathy), Kurtis (Stephanie), Keith (Ginny), Klaine (Ann), Korey (Crystal) who all graduated from Winslow High School.. She was a very proud and loving mother to her 5 son's,13 grandkids and 13 great grandkids-- who all loved and adored Grandma "D".

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mary Katherine Perlinger and her sister Kathleen Gangestad, her brother in law Larry (Bud) Lightner and her grandson Brandon Doucette.

She is survived by her 5 sons; brothers & sisters- Margret (Bud) Lightner, Ann & Spike Namyst, Clara Perlinger, Gary & Gail Perlinger, Larry & Maryann Perlinger, Joan & Wally Thesing and many loving nieces and nephews.

She loved small town life in Winslow, where She was an active member of St Joseph's parish for the past 50+ years. she was an extremely hard worker and took pride in her home. She enjoyed her recreation time at different casino's playing slots with friends, her son's & daughter in laws... Her gift of hospitality was enjoyed by many with good food and fellowship and usually a good card game or two.

She will be greatly missed and we will never forget her smile and that laugh, but we know she is now fully healed and walking with Jesus. John 14:1-4

Viewing will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Greer's Mortuary Chapel. Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM, Friday, May 24, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at 11:30 AM, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Mesa, AZ.
