Ardelle Wentworth

Ardelle Wentworth, age 85, passed away on February 2, 2021 at her home in Brainerd, MN. Family and friends are invited to gather Friday, February 5, from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home. A private family Mass for Ardelle will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church of Brainerd. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Ardelle was born December 31, 1935 to Peter and Catherine (Otremba) Banach. After graduating high school, she married Charles Eidenschink in 1955. They lived most of their married life in the Brainerd area, raising their five children, until Charles passed away on April 24, 1975. Ardelle later married Steven Wentworth, Sr. on August 13, 1983. Together they guided and enjoyed their combined families.
Ardelle was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always had time to listen. She had a quest for learning, graduating from the College of St. Scholastica in later years. Her favorite time was spent with family golfing, hiking, hunting, and hosting many events through the years for family and friends.
She is survived by husband, Steven Wentworth, Sr.; children, Ruth Wittrock, Steven (Amy) Eidenschink, Nadine (Jim) Hessler, Paul (Julie) Eidenschink, Janelle (Donal) Reilly, Steven (Sue) Wentworth, Jr., Rene (Judd) Fredstrom, Cheryl (Tony) Mathison, Kandy (Russ) Hildebrandt; 25 grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren; and sisters, Alice Matlock and Lucille Stangl.
Ardelle was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eidenschink; one sister, Catherine Meyer; and her parents.
Memorials preferred to St. Andrew’s Capital Campaign.
