Barbara Ann DeLaHunt

Barbara Ann (Holtsapple) DeLaHunt, 82, of Sun City West, AZ and Crosslake, MN passed away on June 22, 2021. She was born on September 26, 1938 in St. Paul, MN.

Barb earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the College of St. Catherine’s in St. Paul, MN. She worked as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital and taught nursing at 916 Vo-tech. She went on to use her nursing and management skills as the Administrator at both White Bear Lake and Pleasant Hill Care Centers and retired as Administrator of Ebenezer Luther Hall in Minneapolis, MN.

Barb was very active in the Mrs. Jaycees and the Lion’s Club. She was a loyal Viking’s fan, enjoyed quilting, golf, playing Maj Jong and loved solving crossword puzzles.

Barb married Ronald J. DeLaHunt in 1960 and together they had 5 daughters. Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Ronald (Jerry) Holtsapple, brother Roland and daughter Colleen. She is survived by her husband Ron, children Cherye (Mark) Olmschenk, Beth (Bryan) DeLaHunt, Cindy DeLaHunt and Kelly Jo DeLaHunt. Grandchildren Kyle (Jen) Olmschenk, Kevin (Alexi) Olmschenk, Nicci (Tom) Barilla, Rick (Brittany) Sherman, Brandon (Stephanie) DeLaHunt, Austin Leibel, Katie & Billy Hardin. Great-grandchildren Jack, Liam, Rylie, Lucianna, Mariano, George, Makenna, Kai, Weston, Rylan & Nikola.
