Bernard M. Pierzinski

Bernard (Barney) Michael Pierzinski, 62, died at home in Brainerd, MN surrounded by his family on December 12, 2020. A gathering to celebrate of Barney’s life will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. on January 12, 2021 at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
Barney was born in Little Falls, MN to the late Edward and Verna (Chmielewski) Pierzinski on November 19, 1958 and was one of 12 children.
Barney always loved being around his family and friends and was well known for his witty personality. He enjoyed being outside, wood working in the garage, fishing, going for drives, and sitting outside in the nice weather in the fall.
Survived by his loving spouse Caren of Brainerd; Children Travis of Brainerd, Tashauna (Dustin) Rumberg of New Richmond, WI, and Kayla (fiancé Alec Endres) of Brainerd; Step-children Andy (Jenna) Naus of Aitkin, Timothy Mathewson of Brainerd, and Alvina (Chris) Bennett of Linden, NC; Siblings Ronald (Dorothy) Pierzinski of Manahga, John (Connie) Pierzinski of Merrifield, Maryann (Tom) Kowalczyk of Pierz, Roseann (Marvin) Johnson of Brainerd, Richard Pierzinski of Harding, Nancy (Ben) Spillman of Motley, Gerald (significant other Sherry) Pierzinski of Brainerd, Florian (Gwen) Pierzinski of Brainerd, and Laura (Al) Furan of Blaine; Parents-in-law Leonard ((Jim) Mary) of Deerwood; Brother-in-law Raymond Schaeffers of North Branch, sister-in-law Renee Murray-Erickson of Chesapeake, VA, brother-in-law James (significant other Nina) of Booneville, AR; 10 grandchildren, 16 nephews, 13 nieces, many great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Bernadine Pierzinski, son Derrick Pierzinski, parents Edward and Verna, brother Edward Pierzinski, sister Dorothy Schaeffers, nephew David Schaeffers, and granddaughter Ellyanna Furth.
