Betty H. Johnson

Betty H. Johnson, 79, of Brainerd, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 7, 2020 at St. Joe’s Medical Center in Brainerd. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel-Baxter.

Betty was born on February 06, 1941 to Fred and Evelyn (Ramsfield) Swartout in Brainerd, MN. She married Norman Johnson on July 01, 1961. She worked as a seamstress for The Garment Factory for many years. Betty was also a homemaker as she raised 5 children. She also enjoyed flower gardens, hummingbirds, and going to garage sales.

She is survived by Norman, her husband of 59 years; children Shelley (Richard) Nelson, Brian Johnson, Darla (John) Anderson, Dennis (Shawnna) Johnson, and Jason Johnson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters Carol and Eileen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Stanley and Robert, and sister Toni
