Bonnie L. Allord, 73, of Brainerd, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 after spending a much-anticipated day with her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 8, 2021 at St. Mathias Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to Mass. Interment will take place in the Parish Cemetery.

Bonnie was born December 9, 1947, in Brainerd, the daughter of Louis J. and Margaret (Daniels) Allord. After attending Brainerd Schools, Bonnie worked for Productive Alternatives where she made many friends over the years. She thoroughly enjoyed working for the Casino for 16 years. Bonnie LOVED people. She was enthusiastic to hear about her family and was always ready to give them a hug. She was the “Mad Hugger”. She was an avid fan of the Andy Griffith Show where Don Knotts never failed at making her laugh. She enjoyed cheering on the Minnesota Twins and listening to Elvis. Her trip to Graceland with her parents was a true highlight. Later in life, like clockwork, she called her sisters. She never wanted to miss a chance to say Hi and find out how they were doing.

Bonnie was dearly loved and will forever be missed. She is survived by her loving sisters, Sally (Clem) DeRosier, of Fort Ripley and Candace (Darrell) Menard, of Pengilly; beloved nieces and nephews, Angie Simmonds, Michael DeRoiser, Jenni Cline, Shane Cline, Amber Bonestell, Bonnie Jukich, Daniel Cline, Ashley Koprivec, Nikki Yourczek, and Eric Allord; and many grand nieces and nephews who always brought a smile to Bonnie’s face. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jeff; and very dear friend, John Trowbridge. Nelson – Doran Funeral Home 218.829.4755 www.nelson-doran.com
