Carole J. “Honey” Olin

Carole “Honey” Olin, age 82 of Ironton died on February 7, 2020 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on June 20, 1937 in Florence, WI to Frank and Norma (Cretors) Merhalski. Honey was a retired employee of Crosby Manufacturing with 30 plus years of service and a retired member of the United Steelworkers Union. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby, the CCW, the Sleeping Bag Ministry and the Pasty Team.

Honey is survived by two daughters, Tanya (Mel Wiese) Olin of Annandale and Julieann (Dan) Eberhardt; two grandchildren, Kalia (Brett) Kramer of Baxter and Michael and Gracie Eberhardt of Brainerd; two great grandchildren, Brielle and Aubrey Kramer; two brothers, John Merhalski and Robert (Gloria) Merhalski all of Florence, WI.

Preceding Honey in death are her parents; her husband, Duane “Butch” Olin and one sister, Lorraine Kusmitch.

A Memorial Mass will be he at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. A visitation will be held Friday at the Koop Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Prayer Service and Sharing of Memories at 5:30 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
