Dave Loch

Loch, John David “Dave,” 86, died on June 10, 2020. He is survived by loving wife JoAnn; sons Brad (Sue) Loch, Bruce (Haley) Loch, Jon (Kelly) Loch; grandchildren, Luke (Morgan), Brady, Emma, Gabby, Brandon, Sam, Zach, Tyler; great-granddaughter, Elsie; brother, Frank (Kathy) Loch. Born February 22, 1934 in Watkins, MN to Theodore and Clara Loch. He graduated from the Saint Paul Seminary. Dave spent the majority of his career in county government administration and also served as a councilman and mayor in the city of Lake Shore, where he resided for 43 years. Post-retirement, he remained active in his local community as a member with the Nisswa Lions Club and served as a “Foster Grandparent” at Nisswa Elementary school. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time on the lake both boating and fishing. Dave possessed several talents and will be fondly remembered for many things, including his handy work, the numerous marriage ceremonies he officiated and his love of a good Manhattan. Dave is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Barb Porter and Carole Winkler. A celebration of life will be held on June 27, 2020 from 1pm - 4pm at Cremation Society of Minnesota – Brooklyn Park, with an informal prayer service at 2pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Nisswa Lions.
