Dennis Arthur Ward

Dennis Arthur Ward, age 98, of Baxter died Monday, June 8, 2020 at St. Therese Care Center in Woodbury. Services will be at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.

Dennis was born April 6, 1922 in Oadby, England to Thomas and Frances (Bates) Ward. He proudly served his country in the British Navy during WWII. While on leave at port in Dublin Ireland he met the love of his life, Maura Dennigan. Dennis owned and operated Ward’s Plumbing and Heating for over 50 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years; in his later years he traded in his rifle for golf clubs. Dennis was an avid sports fan, determined, and above all else loved his family beyond words. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Dennis is survived by his children, Joan Ross, Larry; grandchildren, Marvin (Candy) Ross, Joy (Kobie Hudson) Ross; great grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica) Ross, and Brandon Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maura; siblings, Rhea Taylor, Joyce Mudford, Joan Macheel, and Merle Munson.
