Donald “Donny” Freiermuth

Donald “Donny” Freiermuth, age 70 of Brainerd, died peacefully holding his brother Ed’s hand on Saturday morning, June 19, 2021, at the Harmony House of Brainerd.

Donald Paul, the son of Columbus and Mary (Biskupski) Freiermuth, was born on December 7, 1950, in Hastings. Donny always enjoyed watching wrestling, listening to country music (especially Loretta Lynn), fishing, and going to parties. After Donny’s parents passed away, he lived with his brother Ed and his wife Cindy in Lakeville prior to moving to the Brainerd Lakes area in 2000. They always made sure Donny was part of their family, something that he truly loved. Most of all, Donny enjoyed bumming around with family whenever he could and was always sure to visit with everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Columbus, Robert, William, Lorraine Werner, and Dorothy Brochman.

Donny is survived by his siblings, MaryAnn Otto, Rosalie (Gerald) Rother, and Edward (Cindy) Freiermuth; and by many other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Trier, with Father Michael Tix officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation for two hours prior to Mass, and a reception immediately following the burial, all at the church on Thursday.
