Donald Furstenberg

Donald Leonard Furstenberg, 80, of Pillager, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. We will cherish our family memories of hunting, 4-wheeling, camping, fishing, and sitting around the campfire singing classic country songs. He was a man of few words, yet we always knew we were loved.

Don was born February 25, 1941 in Platte Lake Township of Crow Wing County to Ferdinand and Ingaborg Furstenberg. He attended school in Brainerd and married his high school sweetheart Betty Williams in 1962. Together they had 4 children and 10 grandchildren. He worked as a custodian at the Brainerd Public Library and at Franklin School for 25 years until his retirement. He is survived by:

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Laura, and his stepfather Henry Brown.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd. A visitation will take place one hour prior to services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel-Baxter.
