Howard Reed was born to Homer and Erma Reed on June 23, 1933, the youngest of nine children, at Radnor, Ohio. He entered the presence of his Lord on September 2, 2020, Sartell, MN. After graduating from Radnor High School, he enlisted in the Air Force stationed at Fort Worth, TX, where he worked on B-36 planes. While in Fort Worth he met his wife, Lois Uhlenbrauck from Appleton, WI. They were married December 14, 1956. In 1960, they moved to Chicago where Howard attended Moody Bible Institute. After completing his studies, he and Lois entered a life of ministry, pastoring several churches:  Pleasant Hill Community Church near Pequot Lakes, MN, Christian and Missionary Alliance churches respectively at Wadena, MN, Owen, WI, and Rochester, MN.

In his “retirement” years along with Lois, they lovingly provided personal care for a dear friend of theirs for several years. After that time they provided care-taking services at different retirement/assisted living homes in Waconia, MN, Chaska, MN, and Brainerd, MN.

Howard is survived by his wife, Lois of 63 years, three sons; Paul, Alan (Nancy Stevens) and Jon (Wendy Johnson), two daughters; Joanne (Doug Cavalier) and Beth (Daniel Wennblom), eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He left a deep legacy of unconditional love and care for his wife, family and the people he encountered. While he may have been silent the last few years, you could hear his heart through his eyes and smile.

He is now using his new voice and singing with a heart of worship to the Savior he spent his life serving.
