Jeanette M. Simmonds

Jeanette Margaret Simmonds, age 90, of Brainerd went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 27, 2020. Jeanette was born on June 14, 1929 in Brainerd to Walter and Martha (Luttman) Eschenbacher. She married Robert Simmonds on May 23, 1948 in Brainerd at Zion Lutheran Church.

Jeanette loved cross stitching and sewing. She made many memory bears over the years. Jeanette and Robert made and painted Nativity Scenes for all the kids. Jeanette never forgot anyone at Christmas, she was very thoughtful and always wanted her family around. She made wonderful Gumdrop Fruitcakes.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Teresa (David) Meyer, Judy (Byron) Eliseuson, Ryck (Jeanne) Simmonds, Greg (Beverly) Simmonds, Kristi Schardin, Jeff (Angie) Simmonds, and Todd Simmonds, of Brainerd; and 19 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; siblings: Elsie Anderson, Carl (Marge) Eschenbacher, Larry (Ramona) Eschenbacher.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; daughters: Kim Simmonds and Roberta Wagner; grandchildren: Seth Schardin, Danae Bell and Joshua Simmonds; brother, Donald Eschenbacher.

Funeral service for Jeanette will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 4-7PM at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center (512 S 8th St, Brainerd), and also one hour prior to the service, Friday at the church.
